So…about me…what to say.
Well…I am a 34 year old female. I live in Ireland. I’ve been blind since birth because I was a premature baby. Many things happened to me throughout my childhood. The main thing was I suffered child abuse not at the hands of my parents, instead at the hands of those who were supposed to be educating me.
As a result of the prolonged and severe child abuse I endured, I now struggle with mental health issues. I suffer from dissociative identity disorder, PTSD and depression. I also suffer from an eating disorder. These all can be debilitating conditions on their own, but together they make for a hard life sometimes.
I enjoy many things in life, and I have many hobbies. These include reading, listening to music, walking and swimming, going to the movies, volunteering, writing amongst other things.
Thanks for stopping by to read my blog. I hope you find it helpful and enjoy your visit. I’d love if you could take the time to let me know you were here. Thanks again! XX

Few people would cope with what you’ve had to cope with. You must be incredibly strong just to have survived, and to keep surviving…though I’m sure there are many times you don’t feel all that strong. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the world. We need more voices to be raised against abuse and abusers. I was just reading about your hallucinations and I really hope you haven’t had too many lately. They sound like true flashbacks – a sure sign of PTSD. Keep up the wonderful work…I wish you much healing on your journey. Love and light, Melinda
